At the King David Sixth Form, Manchester, we strive for academic excellence and continuous improvement across all phases of learning. This page provides up-to-date information on our examination performance, examination procedures, policies and contact details to ensure transparency and support for students and parents.

 

2024/2025 Examination Results 

Our Sixth Form students also achieve excellent results. Recent A Level and Level 3 Diploma outcomes include: 

  • A strong proportion of A* grades and A/A* grades, demonstrating high attainment in advanced study programmes.  

Latest performance data (2024 – published in April 2025): 

  • Progress score: Average (confidence intervals include 0, reflecting that students make similar progress to national comparators).

Exam Boards 

Our external examinations are conducted in accordance with the specifications and regulations of recognised UK exam boards. For example: 

  • AQA 

  • Eduqas 

  • Edexcel/ Pearson

Parents and students can view current specifications and assessment materials directly on the exam boards’ websites. 

 

Exam Policies and Procedures 

We publish a range of policies related to examinations: 

  • Exams Policy – outlines roles, responsibilities and conduct expectations 

  • Access Arrangements Policy – explains how statutory SEND arrangements are identified and applied 

  • Special Consideration Policy – sets out arrangements for unforeseen circumstances 

  • Appeals/ Reviews of Marking Policy – explains how to request post-results services 

  • Malpractice Policy – describes conduct expectations and sanctions 

All policies are compliant with current regulations and guidance from the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

Timetables and Key Dates 

Public examination periods typically take place: 

  • A Level and Level 3 examinations: May — June (Year 13) 

Students are issued personalised timetables in advance of exams by the Exams Office. Mock examination schedules are published separately each academic year. For more information please see the school calendar. 

 

Results & Post-Results Information 

Release of results:

A Level results and Level 3 Diploma results are usually issued in August for Sixth Form students. 

Post-results services: 

If you wish to request a review of marking, an appeal or access to scripts, please contact the Exams Office by the published deadline (these dates are available each year alongside results communications). 

Certificates: 

Certificates are issued in the autumn term following results.
