Pupils & ParentsParents Guild
Text
Dear Parents & Guardians,
The King David School Parents Guild are a group of dedicated parents and carers who work together to support our school community and enhance the experience of every student. Our main aim is simple — to raise funds and provide those extra opportunities, resources, and experiences that help make school life even more enjoyable and enriching for our children.
If your child’s journey has been extended from the Primary school you will be fully aware of what we do and who we are. Throughout the year, we organise fundraising activities including but not limited to the must have item of every academic year, our Calendar, Chanukah discos, quiz nights, raffles, Purim parties and our famous annual fireworks display, these are open to all the school and wider community, being based around events that bring families and friends together while supporting the school. The money we raise helps fund equipment, resources, activities, and special extras that students have come to enjoy and benefit from. In the past 18 months, we’ve contributed in excess of £11,000 to the High school over a variety of departments, including the English, PE and Drama. We provided funding towards the Proms of both year 11 and year 13. Provided funding towards the new upgraded Parent Pay cashless catering system and funded visualisers for every classroom to name a few. Whether it’s supporting new initiatives or helping provide opportunities beyond the classroom, everything we do is focused on improving school life for our pupils, your children.
We are proud to be a welcoming and friendly group, made up entirely of volunteer parents and guardians who want to make a positive difference. Every contribution — big or small — helps us continue our work. Even in challenging times when events may change or fundraising looks a little different, our commitment to supporting the school and its students remains the same. We are always looking for new parents to join us and bring fresh ideas and energy to the Guild. You don’t need special skills or lots of spare time — just enthusiasm and a willingness to help when you can. Whether you join the committee, volunteer at events, donate financially or simply share ideas, your involvement is hugely valued. By working together, we can continue to provide the extras that make King David Campus such a special place for our children so if you’d like to get involved or learn more, we would love to hear from you!
Kind regards,
Kat Davies, Linzi-Beth Goldstone & Sophie Warner
