King David High School is dedicated to cultivating ethical behaviour and good practice in all areas of life. We emphasise the importance of middot (character traits) such as honesty, respect, and responsibility. These values are integrated into our daily routines and interactions, creating a community where respect for oneself and others is paramount.

Our curriculum is designed to challenge students, encouraging them to excel in both Judaic and general studies. We strive to create an atmosphere where intellectual curiosity is nurtured, and students are motivated to achieve their fullest potential.

Judaism is taught as a core subject at King David High School, giving our pupils a solid foundation of authentic knowledge and understanding. But Jewish education here is not confined to the classroom. Its values, rhythms, and teachings permeate every aspect of school life, shaping the character of our students and the ethos of our community.

Judaism offers a timeless fountain of wisdom and a moral compass that has guided humanity for generations. The rights of the individual, equality before the law, kindness, charity, and respect for others are all true Torah values - and they also form the backbone of British values and institutions.

We aim to instil in our pupils both pride in their heritage and the skills to grow into outstanding Jews and outstanding citizens. At King David, students are encouraged to excel in both Judaic and general studies, while developing intellectual curiosity, integrity, and a love of lifelong learning. Torah study, Tefilla, Shabbat, and the Chagim set the rhythm of school life, inspiring a sincere love of Judaism and a personal connection to Mitzvot.

Our Jewish education extends far beyond the classroom walls. Through experiential learning, informal opportunities, and community involvement, students encounter Judaism in dynamic and meaningful ways that strengthen both identity and belonging. We place a strong emphasis on Israel education, cultivating a deep love for the land and people of Israel and for the modern State of Israel. Trips to Israel and Poland, alongside special programming, allow students to connect powerfully with Jewish history, peoplehood, and destiny.
