The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is paid as a specific grant based on school census figures for pupils registered as eligible for free school meals (FSM) from Reception to Year 11.

Funding for looked-after children is allocated using Children Looked After data returns.

The Pupil Premium is additional to the school’s main funding and is used to help address inequalities between eligible pupils and their peers by ensuring that funding is directed towards pupils who need additional support.
